Trial of Swordmancy
When does Trial of Swordmancy start?
- Status
- Permanent mode
- Official start
- Always available
The permanent combat mode added in 1.3. You don't pick a stage: you draw a hand of Dataplates that decides both which enemies show up and what you walk away with. Pushing the risk (Battle Points) raises the reward, until you overshoot and Data Overflow wipes it all.

Swordmancy is a roguelite: before each Trial you draw up to 5 Dataplates from a deck that rotates every 3 server days. Each Dataplate is worth Battle Points (1 to 5) and sets that run's enemies. More Battle Points means better rewards, but the challenge is not crossing the threshold. There are two modes: Rewarded Trial (3 attempts a day, gives Wuling Stock Bills) and Free Trial (unlimited, no currency, with diminishing drops).
What you need to know
You draw your difficulty
Dataplates decide enemies and loot at once. The deck rotates every 3 days: the composition changes with you.
Data Overflow past 10 BP
Going over 10 Battle Points raises EVERY enemy's level by +30 and, in Rewarded, resets the reward to 0. Over 21 is double overflow and a 180s timer.
Upgrade the Trial Arena
At level 4 it maxes out: 160,000 Wuling Stock Bills per trial and 2 reward-doubling attempts a day. Upgrade it as soon as you can.
Limited event layer
Trial Algorithmics missions give extra rewards until Jul 16. Play weekly so you don't run out of time.
Golden rule: hug the 10-point line
In Rewarded, your goal is to maximize Battle Points WITHOUT going over 10: that's the highest reward before Data Overflow triggers. If your team can handle +30 enemies, crossing on purpose in Free Trial can be worth it for drops; but for Wuling Bills, sit right on the threshold.
